Conserving water for use during dry times is the foundation the District was built upon in 1966. Now that we are facing historically low snowpack and record high temperatures, stored water may be more critical to users in the Yampa River Basin. 

UYWCD has a number of options for water contracts, including agricultural, industrial, municipal, and environmental uses from Stagecoach Reservoir and umbrella augmentation plans to provide water to some out-of-priority uses along the Yampa and Elk Rivers.
