Community Grant Funding
Conserving, protecting, enhancing.
At the Upper Yampa Water Conservancy District, grants represent a vital avenue for driving forward our mission of responsible water management and environmental stewardship. These grants empower our communities to embark on innovative projects that span conservation, infrastructure enhancement, and community engagement.

Community Grant Fund
The Community Grant Fund was established to offer financial support for projects that align with the UYWCD mission to conserve, protect, develop, and enhance the water resources of the Upper Yampa River Basin for the benefit of the Basin.
In 2025, UYWCD awarded over $500K to projects in the Yampa River Basin, which included a special $250K award for spillway improvements at Sheriff's Reservoir to ensure safe and reliable drinking water to the Town of Oak Creek.
The UYWCD Board of Directors allocated $200,000 in the 2026 budget to assist with local projects that fall within the criteria and guidelines.
